Like the DEORE XT, the new SLX M7100 series features 12-speed cassettes, a special 12-speed chain at SLX level, two or four-piston brakes, individually adjustable I-SPEC EV shift levers, powerful rear derailleurs and front derailleurs, 12-speed hubs and HOLLOWTECH II cranksets. Together, these parts form a component group that is perfect for all those who discover the true passion for mountain biking and who value an excellent price-performance ratio.

Shimano SLX FC-M7100-1 12-speed Crank without Chainring

The Shimano SLX FC-M7100 1×12-speed crank with 172 mm Q-factor, 52 mm chainline and 142 / 148 mm O.L.D stands for highest drive efficiency at low weight. It offers optimum power transmission and maximum speed for the new SLX system, which only use 1 chainring. In addition to a new special 12-speed chain (CN-M7100) with the corresponding new 12-speed QUICK LINK lock, SHIMANO is also equipping the SLX M7100 with new cranksets for 12-speed (FC-M7100/7120/7130-1). Most of them use 1-speed systems and a range of chainrings (30T to 34T) is available.

The new SLX 1×12-speed cranks are characterised by DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT+ technology, whose special high-precision tooth profile ensures that the chain finds optimum grip on the upper part of the chainring on rough terrain, but detaches equally well from the chainring at the bottom, thus ensuring efficiency, smoothness and low noise of the drive. The cranks are equipped with a direct-mount system for quick and safe assembly of the chainrings, enabling chainrings to be changed in no time at all. The crank is available in boost and non-boost specifications.
